Evran University

History

The history of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University dates back to Teacher Training School established in 1961. The institution had continued to its activities until 1974 with this name and then it had been transformed into Education Institution. In 1982 it had been transformed into two-year Education School and became a part of Gazi University. In 1988 it became four-year school and 1992 it was named as Kırşehir Education Faculty. It gained its identity as "Ahi Evran University" on the date of 17 March 2006. Finally, its name was changed to "Kırşehir Ahi Evran University" in accordance with the 18.05.2018 dated and published in no. 30425 Oficial Gazette article 6 of "Law on Making Amendments on Some Laws and Statutory Decrees with Higher Education Law" and now our university is named after our city's name.

Our vision is to shape the future by getting inspired by the historical, cultural and artistic richness; to be a pioneering university which is people oriented, entrepreneur, innovator, productive, contributing to science, open to cooperation, preferred because of its high-quality education service, taken as a reference at the national and international level and its members would be proud of being a part of it.
